1902 : Charles-茅mile's sons Adolphe and 茅mile-Maurice take control of the company, renaming it Herm猫s Fr猫res (a moniker that is in place through 1919).
1837 : Herm猫s opens a harness shop in Paris. "Our first customer was a horse," Xavier Guerrand-Herm猫s, the founder's great-great-grandson will later joke in a 1980 People magazine article.
