1967 : Paolo designs Gucci's first ready-to-wear looks in conjunction with a new line of suitcases. "It was my son Paolo's idea," Aldo will tell The New York Times in 1970. "He came to me one day and said, 鈥楧addy, what do you think?' and I said, 鈥榃hy not?' I will enjoy seeing a charming lady dressed in Gucci from head to toe."
